About Ziah
Ziah Consulting was founded by India Payling, a Coach, Consultant and Strategic Adviser based in Leeds, UK, in order to facilitate the development and implementation of the strategies and solutions needed to address the rapidly growing and seemingly spiralling crises in mental health and wellbeing we see unfolding across the world. These crises are not just personal, nor are they localised to one specific region or population group; there are millions of people spread across every continent in desperate need of help with their mental health, and in dealing with the challenges and difficulties they face in life. Unfortunately, despite significant advances in advocacy and mental health awareness in recent years, such help has largely not been forthcoming in ways that are widely accessible, sufficiently impactful, and ultimately effective on a large scale in transforming lives and establishing lasting change.
The need for such provision has arguably never been greater; there are tremendous and unprecedented challenges being faced worldwide, with the aftereffects of a global pandemic still being felt, and ongoing incidences of conflict, war, famine and complex geopolitical and national challenges to contend with. Of course, many of these incidents are of great concern amongst nations and governments, and they undoubtedly influence day-to-day operations on both collective and corporate levels, as well as deeply affecting individual lives. However, even outside of that, individual people have much to contend with in daily life - we’re seeing greater increases in the prevalence of long-term chronic health issues (mental and physical), relationship breakdowns, family division, loss, personal trauma, financial difficulties, problems with accessing basic needs (food, water, shelter, employment), hopelessness, depression, high stress, anxiety, burnout, increased rates of suicidal ideation and death by suicide, in addition to a whole range of complex personal issues for which lasting resolution often seems hard to come by.
That is why Ziah was created, to tackle these issues head-on, with a multifaceted approach, through the provision of specialist insight, strategic solutions and the necessary counsel to drive intentional and effective action, all with mental health and personal wellbeing at the heart of it. We’re an organisation that puts people at the forefront of what we do, and we work hard to equip and empower others to be able to manage their mental health well, to develop and maintain good mental health and wellbeing (including dealing with and managing existing mental health issues), and to have the knowledge, understanding and insight required to solve their problems effectively, overcome challenges and difficulties, and to be able to thrive in life. We’re designed to facilitate breakthrough, catalyse change, drive growth, and inspire transformation, both on an individual and collective scale, and through our carefully designed programs, events and resources, we do just that.

About India: Background and Philosophy
“I am a strategist and a problem solver at heart - it’s a core part of who I am and how I approach life. Problems don’t stay problems when I get involved because I confront them head on with this mentality; that in every difficult situation there is always an answer, a solution, a way out or a way forwards, and I stop at nothing to find it. Once you have the right solution, you have the key to breakthrough, but you will never experience that breakthrough without the consistent and effective application of a strategy to ensure the implementation of your solution is successful. For that reason, I don’t just stop when I’ve found the answer - I work tirelessly and relentlessly to implement it until there is clear and demonstrable evidence of the change I want to see. That approach has served me very well in my personal life and is the driving force behind the successful establishment of Ziah. In fact, I would not be where I am today, both in life or in work, had I not understood the power of effective strategy, underpinned by accurate knowledge and understanding, and used that to turn my own life around first.
In taking that approach to life, I have personally and professionally seen and experienced remarkable breakthroughs, transformations, changes and developments, and I am convinced that this is one of the keys to dealing with and overcoming many of the issues people face in life, in a general sense, as well as with regard to mental health and wellbeing. To that end, I set up Ziah for the very purpose of both providing the answers and solutions that so many are in need of, as well as the advice, counsel, knowledge and insight necessary to drive the change and transformation people are crying out for.
I firmly believe that Coaching and Consulting, if done well, can be transformational across every sphere and dimension of an individual’s life and within the context of broader society as a whole, and that both have the capacity to be life changing and groundbreaking on a personal level, as well as for communities, businesses and corporations, regions, and even nations. That is why I constantly strive to ensure every aspect of my work is done to the highest standard, and that everything we do in Ziah culminates in delivering results over and over again.
My work within Ziah is underpinned by a combination of extensive personal experience and relevant qualification to the highest standard, having achieved a first class honours degree in Psychology from a Russell Group University (including specific modules focused on research, data analysis, clinical psychology and mental health), as well as attaining two diplomas in Coaching. It is this distinctive blend of experience, alongside acquired knowledge, that enables me to provide a highly effective service across every aspect of the business, and to deliver solutions that are not only research backed but inspired by invaluable insight, understanding and perspective.
I firmly believe that if we are to see any sort of significant or meaningful change in the state of our mental health and wellbeing, both personally and collectively, we have to do things differently. We cannot continue on the same trajectory in the way we approach mental health and life in general and expect things to turn around; new approaches are required, underpinned by new ideas and perspectives, and accompanied by dynamic, cutting edge, and incisive interventions. Having been described on more than one occasion as a pioneer, I am always looking to bring these aspects into my work and into my businesses, and in doing so, endeavour to place Ziah right at the forefront of advancement in the areas of mental health and wellbeing.”
